Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Hi, I’m Parvez Ali — a contract lawyer who spends most days drafting NDAs, agreements, and privacy documents for other people’s businesses. So when it came to my own site, I figured I’d write this the way I’d want a client’s policy written: plain, honest, and actually useful to read.
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how you can control them.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They help the site remember things — like your preferences, how you found the site, or whether you’ve already dismissed a pop-up — so your next visit isn’t a blank slate.
Cookies aren’t inherently sinister. Most of what they do is boring, functional, and forgettable. But you should still know what’s happening, which is the whole point of this page.
2. How This Website Uses Cookies
I use cookies on this website for a few straightforward purposes:
- Essential cookies – These keep the site functioning properly: loading pages correctly, remembering basic settings, and supporting core features like the consultation request form.
- Analytics cookies – These help me understand how visitors use the site (which pages get read, how people arrive here, general traffic patterns) so I can improve the content and layout over time. They’re aggregated and not used to build a profile of you personally.
- Preference cookies – These remember small choices you’ve made on the site, so you’re not resetting them every visit.
- Third-party cookies – If this site embeds anything from outside services (for example, a newsletter sign-up tool, a booking widget, or social media links), those providers may set their own cookies. I don’t control those cookies directly, and I’d encourage you to check the relevant provider’s own policy if you want the details.
I don’t use cookies to sell your data, and I don’t run intrusive ad-tracking networks on this site.
3. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You’re in control here, not me. Every modern browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Keep in mind that blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the site function — forms might not submit properly, or preferences might not save.
If this site displays a cookie consent banner, you can also manage your choices directly through that tool at any time.
4. Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy occasionally — to reflect new tools added to the site, changes in the law, or just to tidy up the language. Any changes will be posted here with an updated “last updated” date at the top. I won’t bury changes or backdate them quietly; if something meaningful changes, it’ll be visible.
5. Questions?
If anything here is unclear, or you’d like more detail on a specific cookie or tool used on this site, feel free to reach out through the contact page or request a consultation directly. I’m generally easier to reach than most privacy policies make lawyers seem.
This Cookie Policy is provided for informational purposes as it relates to the use of this website and does not constitute legal advice for your own business or website.
