Why I’m Writing This Myself
As a Contract Lawyer who drafts Privacy Policies for a living, I’m not going to put a copy-pasted template on my own website — that would be a strange way to start a conversation about trust. What follows is written specifically for this site, parvezali.me, and reflects exactly what I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it. Nothing more.

1. Who This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to parvezali.me only. It does not cover MalikTimes or VelaPDF — both are separate platforms I founded, and each maintains its own privacy policy that governs how they handle your data. If you’ve interacted with those platforms, please refer to their individual policies.
2. Information I Collect
I keep this deliberately minimal. Here’s exactly what this website collects, and only when you choose to provide it:
When you use the Contact form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to share it
- The message you send me
When you subscribe to my newsletter:
- Your email address
Automatically, through normal website hosting:
- Basic technical information such as your browser type, approximate location (city/country level), and pages visited — collected through standard analytics tools, primarily to understand which pages are useful to visitors and to fix anything that isn’t working.
I do not collect payment information on this site, and I do not ask for any sensitive personal data beyond what you voluntarily share when reaching out to me.
3. How I Use Your Information
I use the information you share with me for exactly the purpose you shared it for:
- Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry about my legal services. I do not add contact form submissions to any marketing list unless you separately opt in to my newsletter.
- Newsletter subscribers receive occasional emails on contract law, NDAs, and compliance topics — nothing else, and never sold or shared with third parties.
- Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand site traffic and improve the content and structure of this website. It is not used to identify you personally.
4. Cookies
This site uses a limited number of cookies, mainly to support basic site functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so won’t prevent you from reading this site’s content, though some features (like remembering your cookie consent choice) may stop working correctly.
5. How Long I Keep Your Information
- Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry, after which I delete them unless you become a client, in which case retention follows standard legal record-keeping requirements.
- Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time using the link in every email.
6. Who I Share Your Information With
I don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. The only parties who may process it on my behalf are:
- The email service provider I use to send newsletters
- The hosting and analytics providers that keep this website running
Each of these providers is bound by their own data protection obligations, and none of them use your information for their own marketing purposes.
7. Your Rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and applicable data protection principles, you have the right to:
- Ask me what personal data I hold about you
- Ask me to correct inaccurate information
- Ask me to delete your information, where I’m not legally required to retain it
- Withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time

8. Children’s Privacy
This website and my legal services are intended for adults and businesses. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
If I update this policy, I’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. I won’t make material changes that reduce your rights without making that clear on this page.
