VelaPDF is a free, browser-based platform with 55+ PDF tools covering merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, signing, and securing PDF files — all without creating an account. It’s built for anyone who works with documents regularly: students, job seekers, freelancers, and businesses processing paperwork every day.
I created VelaPDF around one specific frustration I kept running into with other PDF sites: the basic task always seemed to come with friction attached — a forced signup, a file-size cap designed to push an upgrade, or that quiet question of where your document actually ended up. VelaPDF removes all three at once.

In My Own Words
Why I Built VelaPDF
I kept noticing how often a task that should take ten seconds — compressing a file before an email — turned into a five-minute detour through a signup form or a paywall.
The harder problem wasn’t the PDF processing itself. It was resisting the pressure to do what most PDF sites do: gate half the tools behind an account, cap file sizes low enough to push a paid plan, or quietly hold onto uploaded files longer than anyone would be comfortable with. I built VelaPDF the other way around.
The long-term vision is straightforward: keep adding the tools people actually ask for — Chat with PDF is a recent example — without ever losing the thing that made it worth building: anyone can open it, do the task, and leave.
